There wasn’t a stronger or broader back in Indiana youth hockey that could carry the hyphenated name and double digit number as proudly as Xander! But when the helmet came off, the fierce, committed defender had a great smile and such kind eyes. We are grateful to have shared so many victories with him as a teammate from @iyhajrfuel days to the @carmelicehounds . His unexpected passing last Sunday after we just spent an afternoon on the ice is certainly the biggest loss that our team, the Carmel hockey community, and his family has ever had to walk away from. Forever 💙 #75 🤍

This vintage julep cup was begging to be engraved with Roman numerals in honor of our wedding anniversary! We day tripped from Carmel to Kentucky for @keeneland September sale. It is a gorgeous facility, steeped in history and tradition. The weather was great for buying, it was the most perfect late summer day! There was so much to see and do on their campus, from the stables to the action of the auction floor. I am fascinated with the library and this hand-embroidered jockey jacket! Have you been to Keeneland?

C A R S & C O F F E E on Saturday mornings spent with my guys. I enjoy it for all of the creative inspiration found in paint jobs, body lines, and iconic logos. These shows have such a positive vibe. The crowd is always in a good mood, searching for treasure between the painted white lines of the lot. There was a lot to see today!

Client details were gathered, hand-drawn, brought to life with watercolored images, and then layered with calligraphy. Each special piece of artwork was mounted and presented to the recipients in an art sleeve. Leveling up the love game over here. x o x o

HOTEL TANGO turns TEN! Their party @hoteltangofletcherplace this weekend was everything a good time with friends should be!

Live music, cake, lots of hugs and glasses raised, all in the warmest atmosphere of support. In their casual setting on a gorgeous September afternoon, there was nothing but cheerful laughter as each successful dunk tank drop donated to @gleanersfbindy.

@hoteltangodistillery released a ten year bourbon with a deep autumnal color and a golden dog tag that danced on the collar of the bottles. Guests were entertained as I engraved personal messages and basement bar names onto their bottles as they watched. Congrats to the team at Hotel Tango on ten awesome years!

The loveliest part of being in a creative business is the variety of jobs that I’ve gotten to experience. I’ve had to fill out tax forms and establish vendor accounts for working with large companies and universities, but I’ve also met with a client in a coffee shop and been handed a small paper bag with boxed place-cards from a retail store. Sometimes, the big jobs and all of the hoops that need jumping through, organically lead to intimate ones like this one.

I met this couple while working at a holiday calligraphy event at Tiffany & Co., when they were not yet engaged. When the time came for their wedding (yay!) she reached out to have these acrylic tags made for their bridal party. The custom mixed paint used for the back of the tags matched the bridal party’s emerald green color and I just can’t get over that shimmer.

It doesn’t matter the size of the client or job, I’m grateful for you all!
